The Color Wheel
The color wheel has two types of colors; cool colors and warm colors. Cool colors are soothing, peaceful and relaxing. Colors such as blue , green, and purple are considered cool. Warm colors are full of energy and have an aggressive effect. Red, orange, and yellow are viewed as warm colors.
Primary Colors
Primary colors are red, yellow and blue.
Secondary Colors
Secondary colors are green, orange and purple. These colors are created by blending primary colors.
Colors Schemes
There are different color schemes used to please the viewers eye; monochromatic, analogous, complementary, and triad.
Monochromatic Scheme
A monochromatic scheme is the use of one color in several different shades.
Analogous Scheme
An analogous scheme is using a few neighboring colors in the color wheel.
Complementary Scheme
The complementary color scheme is using the exact opposite color on the color wheel.
Triad Color Scheme
The triad color scheme is using three colors that are evenly spread throughout the color wheel.
Invitation/Flyer
In this project I used multiple layers, gradient tool, shapes, kerning and leading. It was difficult to get the words aligned, but piecing the shapes together was easy.
